Conserve Utah Valley Branding (Graphic Design + UI/UX Design)


The conservation group Conserve Utah Valley approached me about designing a brand for them, as well as advising on their website design.

Conserve Utah Valley stated that they do one thing: Conserve land and water. Forever. So I started with land and water.




Design Process

I began this project simply by a process of making and working with them collaboratively to find the right feeling. I went through numerous drafts of logos, colors, typography, and so on.







I went through many iterations of logos. I tried to focus on the land and water statement of the organization:



Eventually I settled on this logo set, representing the land and water, looking through a valley. One logo was a winterized logo because of the heavy snowfall Utah is known for:


I provided a simple colorway, easily accessible typeface, presentation decks, and other elements such as swag and posters:









They accepted the proposal and have been using it ever since. Although I was unable to help directly with making the website, they were able to cobble together a site on their own using asset I provided:
