Academic Abstractions Site (Design Research + UI/UX Design)

The Academic Abstractions Website is a self-made website highlighting seven projects I developed, asking the questions such as; Who owns knowledge? Knowledge production? Knowledge interpretation? Who has the power to create, disseminate, and access knowledge? You can see the website here.

Design Research + UI/UX Design

The website was built from scratch and required a heavy amount of research into simple website design.

The project began with a few steps of research, including finding inspiration, laying out the website, and trying out different prototypes. I used the tools figma, the adobe suite, mural and a web builder.

We focused on a simple wireframe and flow. We also kept the navigation simple in order to make it easier to understand where to go on the website. We used color mainly when you hover over the project selections. Here are a few stills of the color details that come to life when you hover over buttons and images:

Overall we had a homepage and a number of project pages, which kept the website fairly simple. You can visit the website here.
